When new canvases and layers are added to a document, their default names (e.g., Canvas 1, Canvas 2, or Layer 1, Layer 2, and so on) are highlighted in the Sidebar so you can enter a relevant name. Sidebar Choose whether you'd like to edit the names of newly-created canvases and layers in the Sidebar.
